Go on then, explain yourself lad!

Ok, I admit it I got a bit carried away!

I'm not kidding, but this was originally going to be 10 pages long and then, you know, I added this bit, then that bit, and then found another box full of old crap and thought "well, if it goes on the website it means I can put this box of old crap in the attic and forget about it....." etc etc etc

That was in 2000.

And four years later it's finally done and dusted. Not perfect. A bit long-winded. But not bad!

The one thing I do hope is that it works in your browser. It's been a long haul, and without going into too much boring detail, this site is built using CSS for the layout - which means it's been a twat to get it looking anything like it should in Mozilla/Netscape.

In an ideal world you'd all be viewing this on a brand spanking new PC with Internet Explorer 6 (which I recommend). But if you love your Apple Mac, and insist on a minority browser, then fingers crossed that it doesn't bugger up!

If you want Internet Explorer for Mac get it here.

If you want to have a look at the CSS file, then grab it here by all means.

In the short term I did notice a problem if you have Norton Internet Security (by Symantec) installed on your machine. Basically, a lot of the images on the site (like the 'Contact' button which you should be able to see top right, above) are 120 x 60 pixels in dimension. Symantec thinks these images are Ad Banners, and turns them off. So, if you can't see the small images that appear on the right of almost every page, then go and turn off the Ad Blocker on your Internet Security, and half the site should re-appear!

Otherwise, things should be funky-dory!

There's not much multimedia on the site so you don't need any special software, but if you want to listen to the MP3's I reckon you should have a copy of Real Player 10 installed. Grab it here, for nowt!

And that just about wraps it up. This is first thing I've finished since my degree show (did I finish that, I'm wondering?), and without getting all la-di-da about it I'm actually quite pleased with the end result. It's been fun digging up all the old stuff, going through the old clippings and demo tapes (even if Jonny Dawe thinks I'm slightly insane!) and remembering all the great folks who were connected with this silly little band from a different time and a different place.

Rumour has it me and Jonny might pop into the Adelphi in October to help them celebrate 20 glorious years. I hope so, it would be nice to touch base.
