Gruesome Stains

Workers Playtime - 1989

Play LP3

I'm not sure what the history behind this compilation is, or how we ended up on it. The cover features a press photo of a riot cop bent down over bloodied victim, and the whole package is very anarcho-punk with it's pay no more than 2.99 philosophy and hand made fold-out sleeve.

As for the music, well it's a pretty ropey affair to say the least. The track Milkfloat provide was produced at Animal Tracks studios in Hull, and it doesn't let the side down by being probably the worst thing we ever recorded in a studio - appearing on the worst record!

Now, if that hasn't put you off, then the full track listing went as follows:

Side One:
Shake Your Foundations by DAN
S.L.U.G by Gold Frankincense and Disk Drive
Beach Patrol by Bad Beach
Pop Song by Well Phead
Drug Squad by Grateful Def

Side Two:
It'll Happen Again by Visions of Change
Death Squad by Doctor and the Crippins
Wolf In Sheeps Clothing by Death By Milkfloat
Kick Yourself by Jailcell Recipes
Profit Motif by The Joyce McKinney Experience
It's Not That Funny by The Mute Drivers

Milkfloat Track:
Produced by:That bloke who didn't know what he was doing
Recorded at: Animal Tracks Studios, Hull.
Song by: Dawe Dolby & Kelly
