A Meaningless Distraction from the Absolute Non End - Welcome to the Death By Milkfloat website
Update: March 2005
Well, the site's been up for a while now and I'd like to thank everyone whose been bothered to say nice things about it! Cheers!
It's been great to get back in touch with a few people who remember us, and a few people who I can't remember but who remember the band, the music and the gigs we played.
A few people have got in touch and passed on rareties which have been hiding in attics for years, which has been really nice. Special thanks to Denis who unearthed a video from an Adelphi gig from way back - along with a rare Firehose video!
If anyone else out there has any old MF related trivia then drop me a line! Ta.
Adelphi Club @ 20
The aforementioned Adelphi Club in Hull - our former stamping ground and official second home - celebrated it's 20th anniversary back in November.
A great little book - One Man and His Bog - was produced to commemorate the event, and a damn fine read it is too. If you're interested, then check out the Adelphi website, here, for more information.
The book contains a comprehensive history of the club, and has some great contributions from local bands along with others much more famous! We get a nice little feature, and words of wisdom from ourselves and others are doted throughout.
My own recollections of the Adelphi can be found here along with some photo's from the book launch party. We're all a bit fatter and a bit greyer - but then you'd expect that wouldn't you?
MP3 Downloads
If you're intrigued by Death By Milkfloat and fancy grabbing a couple of those MP3 type thingies then dive straight in here and help yourself. I'm hoping to put some more tracks up here in the near future, along with (maybe) a bit of video. So keep calling back from time to time to see what's new!
